Weekend Preview: Opportunity knocks
Calgary Villains are set to make their livestream debut, as BTB Edmonton aim to set the pace in the Men’s Division.

Things come in three
In the first of three Women’s Division matches, Edmonton Scottish host Calgary Foothills in a clash between second and third in the standings. The home side have a win and a tie and are looking to continue their unbeaten start, while Foothills aim to put last week’s defeat to Calgary Blizzard behind them.
Also in action are St Albert Impact, who won their only match so far in 2025 against Edmonton BTB. They are the home side against Calgary Villains, who have lost two in a row since their win in the opening matchweek. This one is live on Alberta Soccer’s YouTube channel.
Calgary Rangers travel to Callies United aiming to put their two defeats in 2025 behind them. For Callies, they bounced back from defeat in Matchweek One on Tuesday when they comfortably defeated the Villains 3-0, and they’ll be looking to build some momentum.
A chance to grow the gap
Edmonton BTB could take the lead at the top of the Men’s Division while Calgary Blizzard are on a bye this weekend. They host Cavalry U21s have only played one match so far in 2025 – a 2-0 win at St Albert Impact.
There is more Edmonton action when the Scottish play against Calgary Foothills. The game kicks off at 7:30pm between two teams sitting side-by-side in the standings. Foothills have one win and one loss from two games, while the hosts have a tie and a loss.
Elsewhere, Calgary Rangers are on the road when they travel to Callies United. The Rangers sit in third place, three points off the top, while the Callies have one win and one loss and will be looking to find more consistency in 2025.
St Albert Impact are the home side for their game against Calgary Villains, live on Alberta Soccer’s YouTube channel. Both sides are winless so far this season, so this match is important for kick-starting the rest of their seasons.
The matchweek continues on Tuesday when Cavalry U21s host Calgary Foothills in the Men’s Division.
